Founder The Low Line
Dan leads community engagement, political outreach, fundraising and strategic planning for the Low Line – the world’s first underground park. His former roles have included strategic roles at Google, PopTech and within New York City government. Dan has also consulted for UNICEF in Nairobi and the 9/11 Survivors’ Fund in Washington DC. He began his career producing international affairs programming at the World Affairs Council in San Francisco, where he co-produced the weekly NPR show ‘It’s Your World’. He received a BA from Cornell University and a Master’s degree in public policy from Harvard’s Kennedy School.
Managing Partner Made by Many
Leslie is a battle-tested innovator, operator, leader and growth-driver. As Managing Partner of Made by Many’s New York office, she has been responsible for growing their U.S. client base which now includes Nike, Colgate, and a select list of funded startups on the East Coast.
At the start of her career, Leslie amassed experiences in crisis communications, business intelligence, digital marketing, IP law, media relations, and TV production before co-founding creative agency JESS3 in 2006. Under her leadership, JESS3 was twice-named to the Inc. 500 (No. 430 and No. 475) and awarded 'Small Agency of the Year' by AdAge in the southeast region.
Honored as one of Fast Company's Most Creative People in Business for 'making data science cool' (2013) and one of their 'Most Influential Female Executives in Tech' (2011), Leslie is most proud of co-founding and continuing to support her family’s Willamette Valley-based pinot noir vineyard—Bradshaw Vineyards. A Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Chicago Leslie is passionate about professional excellence, fitness, teamwork, sleep, her faith, and taking care of her family.
Ale Lariu is an Executive Creative Director at the global product strategy and design firm frog design, working with clients in the retail service space.
In 2012, she was in Fast Company’s “League of Extraordinary Women” with 60 other accomplished leaders like Hillary Clinton and Oprah Winfrey. Prior to joining frog, Lariu had been working with start-ups and running two of her own for which she made it into Fast Company's "Most Creative People in Business" list in 2010.
Before that, she was an advertising creative director with over 18 global industry awards. In 2007, Lariu co-founded SheSays, a vibrant community of creatives with more than 30,000 women in 32 countries. Born in the Amazon jungle, she grew up in Rio de Janeiro, lived in Europe and has settled in Brooklyn, New York.
Principal Mathews + Nielsen
Signe Nielsen has been practicing as a landscape architect and urban designer since 1978. A Fellow of the ASLA, she is the recipient of over 100 design awards and has been published extensively. Ms Nielsen is a Professor of Urban Design and Landscape Architecture at Pratt Institute and currently serves as President for the Public Design Commission of the City of New York. She holds degrees in Urban Planning from Smith College; in Landscape Architecture from City College of New York; and in Construction Management from Pratt Institute.
Associate and Senior Designer BIG Architects
Leon Rost began his collaboration with Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG) in 2005 as a design assistant at PLOT in Copenhagen, Denmark. After completing Architectural studies at California Polytechnic University and working for renowned offices in Japan, Scandinavia and Portugal, Leon took on the role of Project Leader at BIG’s New York office in 2011. In 2015, he was named Associate. Currently, Leon is leading the design of the 3.5 million SF Google Campus Project.
