D&AD Impact is the result of a partnership between D&AD and Advertising Week. D&AD Awards are recognized globally as the ultimate in creative excellence while the D&AD Foundation inspires the next generation of creative talent and stimulates the creative industry to work towards a positive future.

Advertising Week draws from brands, agencies, media, technology and startup companies, in addition to broader cultural communities to curate a hybrid of thought leadership and special events worldwide.
 

Who Is D&AD Impact For?

D&AD Impact is for everyone who believes in the power of creativity to change the world, whether you’re a brand, NGO, start-up, entrepreneur, agency, social enterprise or aspiring innovator.

The D&AD Impact Awards recognize original and transformative ideas, including beta projects as well as campaigns, products and projects that have already made a real and positive difference. The D&AD Impact Council supports ideas to develop and scale, while the D&AD Impact Academy inspires and educates future change makers, teaching companies and individuals how to better incorporate purpose through creativity.

At the inaugural Impact Awards, a White Pencil was awarded to the creators of the Edible Six Pack rings, which feed, rather than kill sea life.

The Prize

A D&AD Impact Pencil is more than an award, it’s a tangible signifier that your creative idea, product, project or campaign is a worthwhile driver of positive real-world change.

D&AD Impact Wood Pencils are awarded to original and transformative creative ideas, that demonstrate appropriate research and testing and the potential to impact.

D&AD Impact Graphite Pencils are awarded to campaigns, products and projects that demonstrate clear and measurable impact.

D&AD Impact White Pencils are reserved for work that receives a Graphite Pencil but demonstrates real scale and project progression.

The winner of the $20,000 USD D&AD Impact Prize Fund will be chosen by our judges based on eligibility criteria including the entry's alignment with D&AD Impact's values, its scalability and how the fund will be utilised.


Enter the 2018 Impact Awards

Introducing D&AD Impact Academy

D&AD Impact Academy is a masterclass program that aims not only to inspire talent, but also provide tangible tools based on the experiences and knowledge of the D&AD Impact Council. This two-day bootcamp will turn budding creative leaders into the changemakers of the future.

Only a maximum of 40 individuals will be selected to attend. Free places will be offered to all shortlisted companies, while a place can also be reserved for applicants for a fee.
